Prof. Josef Penninger was the founding scientific director of IMBA in Vienna and is the current Director of the Life Sciences Institute at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He is a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, the Austrian Academy of Sciences (elected as the youngest member), and the Academia Europea. He is a Professor of Genetics at the University of Vienna, Adjunct Full Professor of Immunology at the University of Toronto, and holds honorary Professorships from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Qingdao University. He was also a Young Global leader of the World Economic Forum (2005-2010).
He has won many awards such as Canada 150 Research Chair in Functional Genetics, Austria Order of Merit for Arts and Sciences,  Wittgenstein Prize (Austria's highest scientific award), Descartes Prize (highest EU research award), Ernst Rongpress Medal in Medicine, Carus Medal (German Academy of Sciences). He has more than 720 scientific publications with>84,500 citations by Google Scholar, Occupational H-Index: 138.
Prof. Penninger has made major contributions to important drug targets, such as RANKL, CTLA4, ACE2, Cbl-B and GD2, which are applied to various diseases such as bone diseases and tumor immunotherapy. For example, based on his research work, Amgen has developed Denosumab (Prolia), which was approved for marketing in 2010 to treat osteoporosis and delay the bone spread of cancer cells around the world, with annual sales of 3.7 billion US dollars. In addition, Prof. Penninger has co-founded a number of biomedical companies in Europe, including Apeiron Biologics in 2005, which is the first biotech company in Austria to get EU drug approval for the treatment of childhood cancer neuroblastoma. In 2017, Prof. Penninger has founded JLP Health GmbH and its three innovation technology platforms in Austria, Germany and China. In 2019, he became the chairman of the Board of Angal Biotechnology Suzhou.

Liqun Zhang got her Ph.D  from Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Toronto, Canada. She was Guest Professor of Shandong University of TCM, Guest Professor of TCM course at Vienna Medical University, Austria, VP of Apeiron Biologics AG, Austria,  participated in the R&D  of recombinant human ACE2 for treating Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).  Apeiron Biologics is the first Austrian biotechnology company to obtain EU approval for a new drug to treat children´s brain tumor (Neuroblastoma). She founded LP Health Products GmbH in 2008 and successfully registered Chinese Ganoderma spore products in Austria. In 2018, Dr. Zhang  cofounded JLP Health GmbH and serves as the co-GM with Dr. Hansjorg Gruber. In 2019, she has become the GM of Angalbio and is fully responsible for the company's operation.

        Dr. Matheus Dyczynski studied Molecular Biology in Maastricht (Netherlands) and did his Master's degree in Infection Biology in Uppsala (Sweden). He received his PhD in Molecular Medicine from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm (Sweden) studying the effects of autophagy in anticancer chemotherapy. In 2019 he joined ACUS Laboratories in Cologne as a scientist jointly establishing the forward genetic screening systems. In 2021 he joined JLP Health in Vienna (Austria) where he headed the drug target screening group in addition to playing an integral role in JLP Health’s contribution to the European project innovative medicines initiative “MAD-CoV2”. In 2023 he joined Angal Biotechnologies Co Ltd as Chief Scientific Officer, where he leads the R&D team in their effort to unravel the molecular MoA of novel compounds and develop new drugs for indications such ALS, neurodegenerative diseases, ageing and glioblastoma.

        Maole Wang holds a master’s degree in Humanities from CUNY, Graduate Center. He has previously served as the Marketing Director of Rainbow (Beijing) Decoration Co., Ltd. and the General Manager of Jiangxi Evergreen Technology Co., Ltd. as well as a partner of Fortius Biotech (a US-based biotech company for developing RNA Sampling products) in China. Mr. Wang joined Angalbio as the marketing director in October 2019 and was promoted as the Chief Operating Officer in October 2022.

        Mr. Wang has over 10 years of experience in market expansion, business operations, team collaboration, and operational management, as well as rich operational experience in biopharmaceutical startups. Currently, he is mainly responsible for the operational management, business expansion, and R&D cooperation of Angalbio.

    Mr. Hua Liang holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the School of Life at Shanghai Jiaotong University. He has previously served as the Marketing Director of Shanghai Biben Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and the Regional Marketing Department Manager of Chengdu Yuandong Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. In January 2021, he joined Angalbio as a Senior Marketing Manager and was promoted to the company's Marketing and Public Relations Director in October 2022.

    Mr. Liang owns over ten years of market management experience in the domestic pharmaceutical field and management experience in start-up companies. He is skilled in market expansion, business cooperation, team management, and project management. Currently, he is mainly responsible for market development and public relations management of Angalbio.
